Use method of spline rolling mill:

3. Direct axial or radial extrusion molding, ISO5 grade, can process all splines with pressure angle greater than 2 degrees, including rectangular splines, involute splines with modulus up to 4.5mm;

Working process of spline rolling mill: there are two identical and symmetrical rolling heads on the left and right sides of the base of the rolling head of spline rolling mill. The rolling head is equipped with two rolling wheels which move in the way of planetary motion. In addition to its own rotation, the rolling wheel also rotates around the axis of the rolling head.

When the rolling head rotates once, the roller strikes the workpiece once in a short time and forms a groove on the workpiece. When the roller and the starting part are separated, the spindle is divided intermittently by the action of the indexing mechanism.

If the indexing is continuous, the rolling head must be moved to a rotation angle. At this time, the rolling movement is the same as that of the workpiece and hob in spline milling, and the rotation and feed of the workpiece are driven by the carriage.

Spline rolling machine is a kind of machine used to roll splines. Spline rolling is a gradual forming process. The required shape is generated by rolling the workpiece in the middle of the relative moving die. Material flow is the structure of the die on the workpiece.

Feed is the main factor determining the forming process, that is, the amount of cut in each time the die contacts the workpiece, that is, the amount of material pushed out increases. The whole forming process is realized by changing the spline shape continuously on the fixed length rack when using the existing gear grinding machine.

At this time, the feed speed is directly related to the length of the mold. This fact reveals the limitations of previous gear grinders, because the achievable rack size (length) directly conflicts with the amount of feed required for many workpieces.
